Officially opened on 21 Oct 2019, Ship of Time Lifestyle Store is right next to
our first brick and mortar, Essential Extra Gift Store, at the heart of
The Central Business District at Shenton Way, Singapore.

THE BACKSTORY OF SHIP OF TIME
Opened in May 2018, our first brick and mortar, Essential Extra thrived as a
gifting convenience store. A tiny select shop tucked away in busy Shenton Way
Central Business District showcasing goods from obscure designers, unfolding
their backstories. We aim to inspire working people in a stressful, sterile concrete
jungle, with just the right amount of gifting options and ideas.
Over the years, we were approached by indie apparel designers and makers
of soft goods requesting to stock with us. Ship Of Time was set up for this
reason. Essential Extra is about speed and convenience, while Ship Of Time
slows things down a few notches. Pauses. Savoring life.
Both shops are our experiments and iterations. Good design remains the
underlying current. Except, the former is about speed, the latter about slow living.
In all, there are about 50 different brands spanning both shops.
Nothing is set in stone. And we treat both shops with the same mindset -
authentic, modular, inspirational - shifting as the retail climate shifts,
spearheading a different kind of retail experience.
No one needs more. We need just the right amount.
